The ocean has a way of staying with you.
For some people, it is the memory of diving beneath the surface or watching waves from the shore. For others, it is a fascination with sharks, whales, sea turtles and the extraordinary animals that live beneath the water.
Sea life jewelry offers a way to carry that connection with you.
At Pakabone, our ocean-inspired jewelry includes necklaces, pendants and bracelets featuring Great White and Hammerhead Sharks, Shark Teeth, Sea Turtles, Whales, Whale Tails, Octopus, Manta Rays, Dolphins, Starfish, Crabs, Tuna, Sunfish and Fish Hook designs.
Rather than treating ocean jewelry as a single style, we create different designs for people drawn to different parts of marine life. Whether you are looking for an ocean-inspired necklace, a leather bracelet or a gift for someone who loves the sea, this guide will help you explore the different designs in the Pakabone collection.
Not sure where to start? Some of our most popular ocean-inspired designs include the Octopus, Sea Turtle and Fish Hook bracelets.
Sea Turtle Jewelry
Sea turtles are one of the most recognizable designs in ocean-inspired jewelry, and at Pakabone you can find them in both necklaces and bracelets.
For a classic silver look, the Sea Turtle Sterling Silver Necklace is made in 925 sterling silver. The same sea turtle design is also available as a Sea Turtle Bronze Necklace for those who prefer the warmer color of bronze.
Another option is our Turtle Sterling Silver Pendant, offering a different interpretation of the turtle motif in 925 silver.
If you prefer wearing your ocean jewelry on the wrist, the Sea Turtle Bracelet combines the turtle design with cord to create a very different alternative to a pendant.

Octopus Jewelry
The octopus is difficult to mistake for anything else. Its eight arms give octopus jewelry a completely different shape and character from sharks, whales or fish.
Pakabone offers Octopus necklaces in solid bronze and silver-plated bronze, together with several bracelet designs.
One of the most popular is the Octopus Leather Bracelet, which combines genuine leather with an octopus-shaped metal clasp. It is available in Italian bronze or silver-plated bronze and in several cord colors.

Shark Jewelry: Great White, Hammerhead and Shark Tooth
Few ocean animals are as instantly recognizable as the shark. That is also why shark jewelry can take several very different forms.
Pakabone's shark designs include the unmistakable silhouette of the Great White Shark, the distinctive head shape of the Hammerhead Shark, and several interpretations of the Shark Tooth.
Great White and Hammerhead Shark pendants are available in different metal versions, including solid bronze, silver-plated bronze and 925 sterling silver. Shark Tooth designs are also available as pendants and bracelets.
Among them, the Hammerhead Shark Sterling Silver Necklace captures the unmistakable shape of the hammerhead in 925 sterling silver.
If you prefer a bracelet, the Hammerhead Shark Leather Bracelet brings the same marine theme to the wrist.

Whale and Whale Tail Jewelry
Whales bring a very different character to ocean-inspired jewelry.
Pakabone's sea life collection includes Whale leather bracelets that combine a metal whale design with leather. Different versions are available in bronze and silver-plated bronze.
The Whale Tail is represented separately. It appears in our bracelet range and is also available as a 925 sterling silver pendant.
This gives whale lovers a choice between jewelry depicting the animal itself and the instantly recognizable shape of a whale tail.

Manta Ray Jewelry
Few marine animals have a silhouette quite like the manta ray. Its broad, wing-like body makes Manta Ray jewelry immediately recognizable.
Pakabone offers Manta Ray leather bracelets in different cord styles and metal finishes as part of the Keepers of the Ocean collection.
For divers, snorkelers and people fascinated by underwater wildlife, a manta ray design offers an alternative to more familiar shark and turtle jewelry.

Dolphin Jewelry
Dolphins are another recognizable part of the Pakabone sea life collection.
Our Couple of Dolphins bracelets use two dolphins as the central design and combine them with leather cord and metal elements.
For someone particularly interested in dolphins, sailing, swimming, diving or marine life in general, choosing the animal itself can make an ocean-inspired gift much more personal than choosing a generic nautical accessory.

Starfish Jewelry
The starfish is a classic sea-life shape that works naturally in both pendants and bracelets.
Pakabone makes Starfish necklaces in solid bronze and silver-plated bronze, as well as Starfish leather bracelets in different cord and metal combinations.
This makes the starfish one of the designs where you can choose the same marine theme as either a necklace or a bracelet depending on how you prefer to wear your jewelry.
Crab Jewelry
The crab is less common in ocean jewelry than the turtle or shark, which is part of its appeal.
Pakabone offers Crab necklaces in solid bronze and silver-plated bronze, together with leather Crab bracelets in different cord and metal combinations.
For someone who already owns more familiar marine jewelry, a crab design offers something a little less expected while remaining unmistakably connected with sea life.
Fish Jewelry: Tuna and Sunfish
Fish deserve their own place in sea life jewelry, especially because different species create completely different designs.
The Tuna Leather Bracelet features a tuna-shaped metal clasp combined with genuine leather cord. It is available in bronze and silver-plated bronze versions and in several cord colors.
For necklaces, Pakabone also offers the distinctive Sunfish in solid bronze and silver-plated bronze. Its unusual profile gives it a very different character from more familiar shark, turtle or starfish jewelry.

Hei Matau and Fish Hook Jewelry
Fish Hook jewelry belongs in an ocean guide, but Hei Matau should not simply be treated as another generic sea-life design.
Hei Matau has specific roots in Māori fishing traditions and culture. Pakabone therefore keeps these designs within their own recognizable group rather than presenting them as another marine animal.
Our Fish Hook and Hei Matau designs are available as necklaces, pendants and bracelets in different materials and styles.
For a wrist-worn version, the Fish Hook Leather Bracelet combines the hook design with genuine leather and metal elements.

Sea Life Necklaces or Bracelets?
Once you have chosen the animal or ocean design you like, the next decision is how you want to wear it.
A sea life necklace or pendant places the marine design at the center of the piece. Distinctive silhouettes such as a Great White Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Sea Turtle, Octopus, Sunfish or Starfish work particularly well in this format.
A sea life bracelet integrates the design into leather, braided cord or other bracelet elements. It can also offer more choice in cord color and overall appearance.
Several Pakabone marine designs — including sharks, turtles, octopus, starfish, crab and fish hooks — are available in both formats. The choice can simply come down to whether you prefer carrying your ocean design around your neck or on your wrist.
Bronze, Silver-Plated Bronze or Sterling Silver?
Material is another way to narrow down your choice.
Many Pakabone ocean designs are available in solid bronze, giving the jewelry a warm metallic appearance. Our bronze is an Italian alloy composed of approximately 88% copper and 12% tin and is free from lead, cadmium and nickel.
We also make silver-plated bronze jewelry. These pieces use the same bronze base, electroplated with 99.9% pure silver approximately 6 μm thick.
Selected necklaces and pendants are available in 925 sterling silver, including Sea Turtle, Great White Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Shark Tooth, Whale Tail and Fish Hook designs.

Sea Life Jewelry Gifts for Ocean Lovers
The easiest way to choose ocean jewelry as a gift is often to start with the person rather than the jewelry.
Someone fascinated by sharks might prefer a Great White, Hammerhead or Shark Tooth. A whale lover can choose between a complete whale design and a Whale Tail. A diver or underwater wildlife enthusiast may be drawn to a Manta Ray, Octopus, Sea Turtle or Shark. Someone interested in fishing may prefer a Tuna or Fish Hook design.
Dolphin, Starfish and Crab jewelry offer still more ways to choose something connected with a particular part of marine life.
This makes sea life jewelry particularly suitable for people whose interests already include the ocean — whether through diving, surfing, sailing, fishing, swimming, marine wildlife or simply spending time by the sea.
Instead of choosing a generic ocean gift, you can choose the animal or design that means something to them.
Find Your Ocean Design
There is no single design that defines ocean-inspired jewelry.
The marine world gives us everything from the unmistakable silhouette of a Hammerhead Shark to the flowing arms of an Octopus, the broad shape of a Manta Ray, the tail of a Whale and the compact form of a Starfish.
Some people are immediately drawn to sharks. Others prefer whales, turtles, dolphins or rays. Some want an unmistakable marine animal, while others prefer an ocean-related design such as a Whale Tail or Fish Hook.
That variety is what makes sea life jewelry personal.
